Guidelines to Request Patient Management Consultation:- The eHealth Services at KFSH&RC-Riyadh is committed to supporting patient care when the treating physician or surgeon judges second opinion consultation appropriate. In order to optimize and ensure an appropriate and timely response to your request, please adhere to the following steps: 1) Prepare an updated detailed medical report for the patient whom second consultation is being sought. 2) Identify the primary specialty requested for second opinion and name of specific physician or surgeon if possible. 3) Please fill in the Patient Management Consultation Request, which can be found in your Administration. 4) Submit the medical report and the consultation request to the eHealth Services. 5) The eHealth Services will then process your request, which includes faxing your report for an assessment before live video conferencing can take place. The eHealth Services will contact you for the time selected by the expert physicians at KFSHRC-Riyadh. 6) It is the sole responsibility of the primary requester of the consultation to ensure the availability of the patient file with radiological and laboratory investigation as well as contacting any other physician or surgeon who may have input in the patient’s management. 7) Attendance by all concerned individuals should take place in the eHealth Services half an hour before the scheduled broadcast. 8) Following the broadcast consultation, the requester of the second opinion must submit a summary report of the consultation to the eHealth Services and a copy to patient’s file. 9) Live Patient Management Consultation should not start unless the team leader or his/her designee is present. 10) It is the sole responsibility of the team leader to apply all the above procedures. The above procedures are expected to enhance and expedite eHealth service requests.
